6. What about ELT teaching and learning practices? Using facebook combined with other tools, a teacher can: - create class groups (closed groups) - special interest groups/ project groups - organize threaded discussions on certain topics related to the syllabus - ask students to share essays, articles, reports, etc. - share materials (links, videos, tests, worksheets, etc.) - ask students to work on video projects, upload them on youtube and share them on facebook. - etc.

6. What about ELT teaching and learning practices? (cint’d) The use of facebook and youtube in a structured and purposeful way will provide a real context and for students to acquire 21st century skills, namely: - acquiring ICT skills through experience - developing higher order skills (analyzing, synthesizing, evaluating, etc.) - encouraging creativity - fostering group work - developing job market skills - students taking responsibility of their own learning - etc.
