In Bulgarian folklore, the wolf is a very stupid animal. He represents a certain group of people from Bulgarian history, the Ottomans. The Ottomans invaded Bulgaria in 1396 and oppressed the Bulgarian people for nearly 500 years. Because of this, the Bulgarian people invented many stories that describe how they outsmarted their oppressors. En el folklore de Bulgaria, el lobo es un animal muy estúpido.
