A symbol of your country Colosseum, originally known as the Flavian Amphitheatre, is the most famous Roman amphitheatre, and is located in the city centre of Rome. Able to hold up to 50,000 spectators, was the largest and most important of imperial amphitheatre. It was used for gladiatòri shows and other public events (hunting shows, re-enactments of famous battles and dramas based on classical mythology). Built in an area at the edge of the eastern Roman Forum, its construction was started between 70 and 72 under the Emperor Vespasian, and concluded nell'80 under Tito, with further changes made during the reign of Domitian. Today is a symbol of the city and one of its major tourist attractions, being one of the best preserved examples of Roman architecture.

Something about our city Monopoli is a big city in the south of italy!!! If you want to do an holiday in Monopoli you must go at the sea, because it’s fantastic! But in Monopoli there are other wonderful things to see like the castel of Carlo V, the Cathedral and a lot of churc and the Old City. In Monopoli the teen usually meet in the Old City or in Villa comunale or in square Vittorio Emanuele! A traditional food of Monopoli are orecchiette, a kind of pasta! We live in a very wonderful city!!!

A landscape that you love This is the landscape that we prefer. Represents 2 typical symbols of our country: the olive and Trulli. The olive is a very very old tree; which is part of the vegetation of our territory: the mediterranea stain.Trulli are an example of architecture early in Puglia, they were built without the use of cement, but only with stones . This in the past made possible dismantle them and not pay taxes on.

A product of your country The oil is a famous product of our contry. It is an olives’ product. It is used a lot of times in our recipes,mostly in our typic dish “orecchiette con le cime di rapa”, a special type of pasta.
