Edit Comment Close Premium member Presentation Transcript Slide 1: The real romance: Lancelot and Guinivere Slide 2: Once upon a time there was a dark kingdom, beyond the imagination, where the treachery and meanness of a man reigned … Slide 3: … In this kingdom a castle rose, bursting between the mountains of Fangard, and all around it there was the village … Slide 4: … The inhabitants were treated like slaves, obliged to work night and day … … without resting, without any right of objecting and rebelling to their king … Slide 5: … a perfid and wicked king ,King Arthur ,reigned there. He was known in all the kingdom for his evilness … … married to the nicest woman of the kingdom, Queen Guinivere … Slide 6: … At court ,there were a lot of knights who were very sorry about the people’ s conditions but they could do nothing for them :they had to obey their king otherwise they might be killed … Slide 7: … An inhabitant called Virginia died. She was the mother of a knight, Lancelot. When a person died, the king was used to coming down to the village and comforting all relatives … Slide 8: … Also the Queen went to the village and brought, a branch of white, flowers for mourning .She rode a whire horse ad was in white … Slide 9: … King Arthur went to the village but instead of encouraging people who lost their dear, he was happy and … … exhorted people to work , interrupting the funeral … Slide 10: … On this occasion, since all the knights of the court were there, Lancelot and Guinivere met by chance and they looked in each other’ s eyes … Slide 11: … Since then, they always thought to each other and they tried to meet again … Slide 12: … In the meantime the knights formed an alliance with the people, tired of King Arthur ‘s attitudes and of seeing the people suffer. Therefore they decided to revolt … Slide 13: … Lancelot and Guinivere met each other again and the knight confessed to the Queen the plot against the king … … instead of defending the king, Guinivere agreed with Lancelot on the plot even because she had been forced to marry King Arthur and she actually didn’t love him … Slide 14: … After taking part to the secret reunion, a king’ s spy, the knight Oswald … … wicked like his master, a bitter enemy of Lancelot and jelous of his special talents and knightly ability … … recounted the incident and the secret conspiracy to the king, that decided to wait and after to attack Lancelot … Slide 15: … In the meantime, the knight Lancelot heard about the spy from some flying magic faires, that were with the people … Slide 16: … Guinivere went into the wood by a small boat, but that day was different from the other ones … … She felt that something unusual was happening … Slide 17: … As soon as she arrived in the wood, suddenly some small coloured creatures went around her. She hadn’ t never seen flying fairies, but since she was a child she had wanted to see them, because they were her favourite creatures … Slide 18: … These fairies explained her how to defeat King Arthur, but they gave her bad news: as a result of the king’s cruelty, the moon, was going to be swallen up by darkness … … then she had to act quickly to stop it, otherwise the world would disappear … … The only solution was to defeat King Arthur … Slide 19: … At the sunset Lancelot put on his armour and decided to fight against King Arthur in a duel … Slide 20: … In the meantime the moon was disappearing … Slide 21: … During the fight King Arthur shot Lancelot’s shoulder with his sword. The knight thought about his mother’s death and his people’s sufferings and immediately killed King Arthur … Slide 22: … The moon shone again and Guinivere awarded Lancelot king of Fangard … Slide 23: … The people were happy and since then all changed: the happiness won on evil … Slide 24: … Lancelot and Guinivere got married and had two nice daughters who, fately, were born with wings … Slide 25: … And they all lived happily forever.
