Introduction : 

2 Introduction Purpose - The purpose of this study was to outline practical approaches to planning, implementing, and assessing 21st century teaching online and discuss implications of these approaches for K-16 educators in view of emerging Web 2.0. technologies.

INTRODUCTION : 

3 INTRODUCTION Methods DESIGN – Qualitative study using activity-oriented design methods. INSTRUMENTS – Interview, observations, interpretive student perceptions. PARTICIPANTS – On-line class leaders and consultants who are in regular contact with a wide range of instructors and staff. LIMITATIONS – None identified by the researcher. IMPLICATIONS - this study sought to capture the voices of students and departmental or interdepartmental collaborators who helped shape, implement or assess the online teaching components of the course.
