Premium member Presentation Transcript Tek-Dek-Extreme Templating Guide: Tek-Dek-Extreme Templating GuideSlide 2: This is a short guide on how to prepare templates for custom panels for either self construction or direct from Tek-Dek Extreme Ltd.Slide 3: You will only need a few simple tools. ToolsYou will need:: You will need: A roll of polythene Double sided tape Strong single sided tape A pair of scissors A Stanley knife A t ape measure A straight edge Pen or pencilSlide 5: First place some squares of double sided tape evenly over the area to template. This is to secure the templating sheet.Slide 6: Measure the size of polythene required. Cut polythene to required size.Slide 7: Open sheet out and fix in place with the double sided tape. Make cuts to allow the sheet to lie flat around curved surfaces.Slide 8: Using a sharp pencil or pen, draw clear single lines around the perimeter of the template.Slide 9: If the line is precisely where you require it, mark it so.Slide 10: However if the line is either too big or too small, indicate the adjustment and in which direction it needs to be made.: Where panels need aligning, draw a common line through the templates. Don’t forget to mark each template clearly with its direction.Slide 12: Table sockets, filler caps and hatch handles can be easily drawn around after cutting in the same manner as curved edges.Slide 13: Panels requiring straight edges are best drawn using a straight edge.Slide 14: If the sheet needs to be joined, use tape and strike across the joint with lines. This can help reattach the join if it comes apart.Slide 15: Finally check template carefully for accuracy.
