Premium member Presentation Transcript The Cayman Heart Fund: The Cayman Heart Fund …in the heart of CaymanSlide 2: 33% of DEATHS in the Cayman Islands will be from HEART DISEASE!!! 20 % of deaths in Cayman are caused by Cancer Heart Disease is the NUMBER 1 cause of death in Women and in CaymanSo what are we trying to do? : CREATE AWARENESS BY PROVIDING EDUCATION TRAINING WE ALSO RAISE FUNDS to PROVIDE EQUIPMENT IMPROVE CAYMAN’S CARDIAC FACILITIES Increase access to AED’s AND SAVE LIVES… So what are we trying to do? Create a healthier Cayman with effective Cardiac Care, Training, Prevention, Diagnosis and TreatmentHow will the community view your partnership? : We introduced 50 AED life saving units into the community - $1,800 KYD We partnered with Baptist Health and signed agreement BLS training in community AND Advanced Care Life Support Training for Physicians Provide District Health Screenings – limited by budget Supported Health 4 Youth with $4,200 KYD in funds How will the community view your partnership?Slide 5: Become a PARTNER in Health4Youth After-school programme within the public school system PREVENT childhood obesity and introduce a healthy lifestyle to children.
