Travel scrapbook I love New-York

From Paris to New-York :

From Paris to New-York I flied to New-York in January. I started from Charles de Gaulle airport at 7:45 on January 9 and arrived at New-York airport at 9:45. The flight lasted about 12 hours by British Airways. It cost €252. I stayed one week.

The Empire State Building :

The building rises to 1,250 feet or 381 m at the 102nd floor. The Empire State Building was officially opened on May 1, 1931. Much of the office space went unrented until the 1940s. This lack of inhabitance earned it the nickname "Empty State Building" in its early years The Empire State Building

New-York City :

New-York City Panorama of Lower Manhattan as viewed from the Staten Island Ferry New York City comprises five boroughs: The Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island. With over 8.2 million residents within an area of 322 square miles (830 km²), New York City is the most densely populated major city in the United States . Many of the city's neighborhoods and landmarks are known around the world. The Statue of Liberty greeted millions of immigrants as they came to America in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, at Ellis Island. Wall Street, in Lower Manhattan, has been a dominant global financial center since World War II and is home to the New-York Stock Exchange. The city has been home to several of the tallest world buildings, including the Empire State Building and the former twin towers of the World Trade Center, which were destroyed in the September 11,2001 attacks.
