LFKDC Alumni Association MISSION To identify and address the needs of the Leyte Kalipayan Dance Company so as to enhance its growth and foster its development;

LFKDC Alumni Association SECONDARY PURPOSE To promote the knowledge and appreciation of Philippine dance in all its forms, as well as Philippine songs and music. With this, the association may conduct workshop, produce dance & cultural shows, create chorale/singing groups, dramas , operas, recitals, stage shows, dance and songs festival contests, produce concerts of any singing group local or international artists, undertake recruitment and audition activities for the benefit of LKDC as well as accept local and foreign invitations to perform ;

THE PRAYERS & HOPE When everything is gone preserved for 54 years… When we have no BSP we called home for 40 years… When we have no costumes and musical instruments to make a show… When we don’t have a place to rehearse… When dancers have to be re-located due to homes wrecked by Y olanda… When we lost a member in the family ; businesses and homes, thinking how can we help others when ourselves need it most… When we were in ground ZERO and don’t know where to start to pick-up the ruins that was left.

REBUILD KALIPAYAN PROJECT And the LKDC rehabilitation continues… For the mobility of the project full force was applied… Continuous singing engagements were accepted by the LEYTE KALIPAYAN VOICES, the little earnings contributed a lot for the mobility of LFKDCAA projects. Kalipayan Voices has to create people’s awareness of the existence of Leyte Kalipayan … T hat The Leyte Kalipayan Dance Co. did not perish after the devastation…but continued to live on..

REBUILD KALIPAYAN PROJECT We started buying materials to bring back to life the costumes in preparation for the big day “Our first performance after Yolanda” on May 31, 2014 , and we thank Fe Longjas for her generous time, effort and talent accorded to the LKDC.

REBUILD KALIPAYAN PROJECT During our first show after Haiyan, we only have 4 sets of new costumes namely: Cavitena , Itik-Itik , palayok , and Binaylan , and the rest were hand picked from the ruins… Because of Leyte Filipiniana Kalipayan Alumni’s generosity of their TIME, TALENT and TREASURE we can now perform full shows, and more costumes were added to our Wardrobe Collection…

LFKDC Alumni Association VISION The ultimate vision of the LFKDCAA is to provide a permanent dwelling place for the Leyte Kalipayan Dance Company, that it may continue its mission to promote the rich heritage of Filipino culture and eventually put up Leyte Kalipayan Dance Co. Academy of Arts, the first in Leyte and in Region VIII; so that the legacy of LKDC and Ms. Pil will be preserved and that it may keep its sustainability as it lives on.
