To those of us directly linked to the Western media and train of thought (which I assume is most people watching this video), this seems like a very scary thought…but is it? In this brief video, I will touch on some of the main reasons why MOST Western governments, media, and people feel this way and openly admit wanting to attack the Iranian homeland. I will follow up each “pro-American point” with a point of my own which will hopefully show you how conceited, arrogant, and inhumane the American vantage point truly is. Enjoy…If you think there is too much writing or this video is too long, please get a slightly larger attention span. American Point 1 : American Point 1 Iran shouldn’t be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons. Nine countries with nukes is enough. Adding another one to this mix will only bring about a greater chance of a cataclysmic nuclear war. It’s better to just have Iran de-militarized and ridden of nuclear facilities now so that we don’t need to take the risk of a two-sided nuclear war. Refutation of Point 1 : Refutation of Point 1 What makes the United States and Britain so special that they have the right to decide who has nukes? If you lived in a country without nukes, wouldn’t you want to feel the protection that no one will attack you since it would be suicide. No leader of a country is stupid enough to provoke or attack another country that has nuclear weapons. Either everyone should be allowed nukes or no one should. American Point 2 : American Point 2 Iran poses a direct threat to America and her people. Refutation of Point 2 : Refutation of Point 2 Actually, Iran poses absolutely no threat to America directly. For one, it is preposterous to think that Iran will have the launching capability to send missiles at a nation on the other side of the globe. At the same time, America has an anti-missile defense system; so, if somehow Iran was able to get a nuke to the shores of America, it would likely be detected and shot down, and shortly followed by a barrage of nuclear missiles upon Iran. The United States has over 5000 nukes and one of the largest and most high-tech militaries in the world. IF Iran meets what is expected of them, it will only have a few extremely weak nukes and a fighting force a fraction the size/capability of America’s in a decade’s time. The Iranians are a bit out-matched, don’t you think? American Point 3 : American Point 3 Iran poses a direct threat towards Israel, one of our closest allies. It openly aids Palestine, Lebanon, and other “terrorists” fighting against the “democratic, free, and loving” Israeli people. Refutation of Point 3 : Refutation of Point 3 Americans just assume that who they are helping are ALWAYS the “good guys.” The Israeli government shows many comparisons to the Nazi regime of World War 2. To list all the injustices here would be impossible, but a few general ones are discriminatory laws against Muslims, segregation between Jews and Muslims, continual encroachment and expansion into Palestinian territories, displacing those people who they encroach upon, placing anti-Islamic sentiments upon Jewish children in public schools, and the violation of a large number of international human rights laws. Zionism, the concept of Jewish nationalism, is inherently racist. It degrades Arabs and is extremely exclusive. The Zionist government is constantly looking to expand territorially under the excuse that the Jews should have more living space and better conditions. This is the same type of war-time propaganda Hitler used to propagate his takeover of Europe. Refutation of Point 3, continued : Refutation of Point 3, continued Yes, Iran gives missiles and weapons to Palestinian forces who fight Israel. And yes, Iran does stand as a threat to the Israeli government (not the people). At the same time, however, America gives weaponry to Israel and stands as a threat to Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria. Why does America have the right to distribute missiles, but Iran does not? America picks Israeli government’s side because it suits their political agenda. Nothing more, nothing less. In fact, Israel is probably the most fascist and tyrannous country in the Middle East; however, they aren’t seen that way by most because the Western media portrays them as always being the innocent victim. What you see on the television, especially regarding foreign affairs, usually isn’t true. American Point 4 : American Point 4 The New York Times has quoted Ahmadinejad, the Iranian Prime Minister, saying: “Israel must be wiped off the map.” This proves how crazy and genocidal Ahmadinejad and the Iranian government truly are. Refutation of Point 4 : Refutation of Point 4 Ahmadinejad never said those words. When he was giving that specific speech, he was not speaking English. So, that phrase is a translation (and a pretty false one, as well). According to the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), the phrase should be translated as such, “this regime occupying Jerusalem must be eliminated from the pages of history.” This is no different then when Winston Churchill promised to crush the Nazi regime during WW2. Churchill wasn’t pledging to obliterate the German people; he was merely saying that he wanted the evil government which ran it to come to an end. However, this concept does not fit well with The Times’ agenda. The writers just had to spin Ahmadinejad’s speech into a sensational hate speech to spur up anti-Iranian sentiments and boost their ratings. American Point 5 : American Point 5 Iran is a safe-haven to terrorists corresponding with Al Qaeda and the Taliban. Many terrorists organizations are plotting there and then carry out their attacks against Americans in Afghanistan, Iraq, and elsewhere. Refutation of Point 5 : Refutation of Point 5 This is exactly what was said about Iraq before the American invasion; however, there is no proof of this. The “terrorist” attacks in Iraq only started AFTER the Americans came in and the local people started resisting occupation. There could be anti-American terrorists in France; does that give a right to Americans for an invasion of France? I predict that it’s only a matter of time before the CIA gets “substantial proof” that Iran has WMDs, and the president orders an invasion. This also seems rather familiar… American Point 6 : American Point 6 Iran is a terrorist state. It is part of the Axis of Evil with the likes of North Korea and formerly Iraq. Their major military organization, The Iranian Revolutionary Guard, has just been named a terror organization by the United States government. That proves how evil Iran is! Refutation of Point 6 : Refutation of Point 6 Iran’s revolutionary guard is only a terrorist organization because America and the West deem it to be so. The word “terrorist” is synonymous with anyone who stands as a threat to America and its process of forcing its culture upon the world. “Terrorism” has no globally-accepted definition. The modern-day terrorists are little more than McCarthy’s Commies of the 1960s and the witches of Salem. It’s a societal-based schizophrenia. People just use the word to label anyone they don’t like as being evil. If Iran is called a terrorist state, it is only because they are non-conformist and, therefore, present a problem to those guiding the economic world. The branding of Iran as a member of the Axis of Evil was an idea cooked up by George Bush in order to make up non-existent ties that Iran supposedly had/has with the Iraqi “terrorists” and North Korean “commies” in order to justify his attack on Iraq (and probably eventually Iran). Bush picked the name “Axis of Evil” to make those nations part of it to sound as villainous and horrible as possible. Most Americans aren’t smart enough to even realize that Iran and Iraq, both members of the Axis, were bitter enemies and had just fought a major devastating war less then two decades ago; thus not being allies in some sort of made up “coalition of evil-doers.” American Point 7 : American Point 7 Iran is unstable. The country is in turmoil and there is no way the government could keep control of its WMDs if it had them. The election of Ahdemenijad was a fraud, and everybody knows it. It is common knowledge that the Iranian people hate their leaders. The Iranian government can’t even control their own people. How could it ever control nukes? Refutation of Point 7 : Refutation of Point 7 Iran is not unstable despite the various attempts by the media to call it so. Just because a few thousand people are shown rioting and protesting on the TV because their candidate lost doesn’t mean that this is how the majority feels (much less the entire country). There were many protestors who took to the streets after John Kerry lost the presidency and said that the votes were miscounted. Did that constitute America as an unstable nation because some people were angry about an election? The only difference is that in the case of Iran cameras were zoomed in on the “chaos” so as to not let the viewers see how minor the event was. Iran has much greater stability than does Pakistan, currently a member of the nuclear elite. I don’t see Americans planning an invasion of pro-American Pakistan. American Point 8 : American Point 8 The Iranian nation and culture are backwards in general . Their people are ultra-conservative Islamic fanatics. Their society degrades women and forces religion upon its people, just like many of the other Middle Eastern nations, like Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan. They are the “stereotypical” Jihadist, Extremist Arabic Muslims. Refutation of Point 8 : Refutation of Point 8 Iranians actually don’t associate themselves with other Arabs. They see the Arabic countries (such as Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, etc.) as being technologically and morally deficient nations. Iran allows open romantic relationships and is probably the most tolerant nation in the Middle East. Girls are not forced to hide their faces or skin. Men and women openly court one another in public. Freedom of religion, press, and speech are standard practice. Apostasy is not a crime. The country has many highways, cars, airports, and modern luxuries. Although it is not what the American government/media want you to believe, Iran is most definitely not another crazy Arabic, Jihadist country. I’m sure every single person who has visited Iran will agree with me here. American Point 9 : American Point 9 Iran is a war-mongering nation. Once they gain leverage over their neighbors by adding nuclear warheads to their arsenal, it will attack or threaten to attack (much like North Korea is doing). Refutation of Point 9 : Refutation of Point 9 Completely false: Iran hasn’t invaded another country for over 200 years. Iran doesn’t have many major international business interests that might drag it into war either. The same can’t be said for the United States who has dropped more bombs on other countries than anyone else. A country who has overthrown scores of governments (through illegal means) and is the only one to use nuclear warfare on another country (twice!!!). America has invaded nations for purely political/economic purposes without first being attacked directly in the cases of the Korean War, Vietnam War, The Barbary War, the Spanish-American War, The War on Iraq and many other conflicts. America also has a military force of over 3 million people stationed in bases in almost every country. If anyone shouldn’t be allowed to have nuclear missiles, it should be America. Slide 22: Iran threatens the world in no way. There is no reason to hate or fear Iran, much less wanting to destroy it. Don’t let NATO and the television decide which countries you will and will not like. Stand against a US-Israel invasion of Iran!
