Leadership style is the relatively consistent pattern of behavior that characterizes a leader. It can be divided into 3 sub types :- Consultative leaders Consensus leaders Democratic leadersAutocratic leadership: Autocratic leadership In contrast to participative leaders are autocratic leaders who retain most of the authority. They make decision confidently, assume that group members will comply and are not overly concerned with group members attitude towards a decision. Autocratic leaders are considered task oriented because they place heavy emphasis on getting task accomplished.Leadership grid styles: Leadership grid styles A classic method of classifying leadership styles suggests that the best way to achieve effective leadership is to integrated the task and relationship orientations. The leadership grid is a framework for specifying the extent of a leader’s concern for production and people.PowerPoint Presentation: concern for production, rated on the horizontal axis, includes such matters as results(including high quality) the bottom line performance, profits and mission. They are more interactive compare to women. Women managers have patience to listen others Women score higher on leadership scale when compare to men.. Has a way of saving matters in an emergency . Has some unique knowledge useful to the group. Group members Are dependent on the leader. Are rarely asked for an opinion. Are ready replace by other workers. Recognize emergencies. Work situation Requires a clear directions. Requires a new vision because of changes. Is characterized by strong controls. Includes physical dangers.
