Telephone (Fixed Landline only) penetration in India in urban HH in India at 23% and growing At the end of June, 2005, total Fixed lines were 47.70 million and mobiles reached 57.38 million taking the total of telephony subscribers in the country to around 105.08 million (Source TRAI) Community Housing projects make it increasingly difficult to conduct face to face interviews at the household Increasing inability of interviewers to enter SEC A1/A2 apartment buildings without prior appointments B2B interviews difficult without prior appointment CATI Advantages : CATI Advantages Computer Aided Telephonic Interview Computer Telephony Integration allows software to automate much of the interviewers work Software handles complex branching, skips and response piping Software automates hard/soft and/or interlocking quotas Centralized data collection allows for greater control over interviewers and supervisors and higher control over quality Software produces disposition reports at the end of every study allowing the researcher to determine incidence and and non-response of refusal bias that may skew the data CATI Advantages (Contd.) : CATI Advantages (Contd.) Reliability of data is ensured through a proprietary method of voice recording Voice files are saved to the number dialed, interviewer name and date for easy reference. No requirement for scrutiny or validation programs since the CATI program blocks such errors MMRSS Infrastructure : MMRSS Infrastructure 3 facilities with over a 100 seats capacity spread across mumbai (Saki Naka and Lower Parel) Fiber optic E-1 lines with branded PC’s Agent headsets allowing minimal ambient noise interference Supervisor barge-in access to all calls and agent screens Visitor Lounge with one way mirror allowing barge in to calls and agent screen MMRSS Value Add : MMRSS Value Add Interviewers with MR experience B2B and B2C interviews No telemarketing activities, all respondent data is kept confidential. Thin clients on all work stations ensure that sample cannot be copied from agent screen. Sample management and quota controlled handled via central server Random Sampling techniques (eg. RDD or Published number +1) can be used using our random number generator MMRSS has the national numbering plan for both mobile and fixed networks enabling us to generate ‘true’ RDD sample. MMRSS has Exchange level data (number of lines utilized and capacity) for 36 cities allowing precise weighting of data collected through CATI MMRSS Value Add : MMRSS Value Add Trained NATIVE language speakers for all in- language studies Availability of both male and female interviewers for sensitive studies Voice file formats permit integration into MS PowerPoint allowing multimedia presentations to client.
