Welcome to Ms. Tess Fifth Grade Class:
I’m excited about the opportunity to get to know you and your parents and guardians.
To know you is to learn you.
Our Classroom Icon is The Ship of Knowledge It is loaded with wonderful things.
My class will fill you up while you are aboard.
We will focus on Science using an array of high-tech equipment.
Parents and children are welcome to use the Schools Computer Lab during weekdays
until 6:PM.
Class will complete a community Garden Project. Parents are welcome to join.
Students are asked to bring their school supplies and completed assignments to school
with their parents signatures.
Students progress report, rewards and consequences includes parent’s signatures.
My homework policy is: Parents will participate and guide student’s home assignments.
Homeroom parents are very important persons in our classroom.
Homeroom parents rule with or without the teacher.
Earned privileges are earned according to completed assignments and volunteer awards.
My grading policy is available in my Science Column of the monthly School’s Gazette.
Our class celebrates Earth Day with a Field Trip to Mount Charleston. Check School’s
Gazette for dates.
Virtuleze is the main character of the Class Puppet Show. A DVD version is shown on Fridays.
Parents and staff are welcome to contact me anytime between 7:AM to 1:PM.

rewards and consequences … Good behavior is rewarded by free time with Virtuleze's ‘Puppet Show.
Good deeds are rewarded with Free Cinema Tickets.
Consequences will equal time taken away from Virtuleze and Cinema Tickets.

Hang your coat and backpack at your cubby station.
Take your folder out of your backpack.
Greet everybody.
Smile and take your work
