In 1974, St. Edmunds became the Blue Church when it was fixed up for Big Valley’s 60th anniversary.

The Big Valley Historical Society rescued the church from years of neglect

In an effort to save money, they used the best deal they could get on paint, and blue paint was donated!

Although the main part of the church was built in 1916, the steeple wasn’t added to the church until 1922

The bell was donated in the 1950’s by a rural school that was closing down.

St. Edmunds church can be rented for weddings or memorials.

No regular services are held here.

It is now a tourist attraction visited each year by hundreds of tourists.
