The capital is Rome. 57 million people live in Rome. The currency of Italy is Euro. One myth of Italy : One myth of Italy One myth is that According to ancient roman tradition, two brothers named Romulus and Remus founded Rome, the capital of Italy. Legend has it that the twins were sons of Mars, the god of war, and were raised by a wolf. The brothers set out to start a new city. In a fit of rivalry over who should chose the site, Romulus killed Remus. And so, the story goes, he named the city Rome after himself , the victor. Traditional breakfast : Traditional breakfast A typical Italian breakfast would be delle uova (some eggs), il Pane con della marmellata e del burro (bread with jam and butter) Traditional lunch : Traditional lunch An Italian lunch (il pranzo) is considered the most important meal - and it is treated as such. Traditional dinner : Traditional dinner A nice traditional dinner is L'antipasto (an assortment of appetizer meats, cheeses, olives and such served with bread). Festivals and celebrations : Festivals and celebrations Italy has lots of festivals and celebrations, here are three that are special to Italy. Epiphany January the 6th. Many towns hold fairs, concerts, food festivals, or special events. Bells ring commemorating the original day of liberation for Italy. All Saints' Day. Date November the 1st . On all saints day people go back to their home town or birth place to put things on dead relatives graves Come to Italy : Come to Italy Because you can experience the leaning tower of Pisa and you can experience the life of the Romans in Italy’s museums as well as the Gladiators.
