Some radiologic technologists specialize in certain modalities like mammography sonography or cardiovascular radiography while there are those who tend to stick with general radiology. Radiologic technologists constitute the 3 rd largest group of health care professionals. What Do Rad Techs Do Radiologic technologists are most responsible for positioning the patients while the imaging exam is being performs and at the same time it is their responsibility to produce high-quality images at the imaging center Las Vegas which could be used by the radiologists to accurately interpret and thereby diagnose the patients. Rad Techs work closely with the radiologists who rely deeply on the technologists to make sure that the imaging examinations go as smoothly and accurately as possible and detailed imaging results are provided therein.

www.lvradiology.com Difference Between Radiologist and Radiologic Technologist While radiologists as well as radiologic technologists both have somewhat similar sounding job titles and they both work in the area of radiology it must be pointed out that their responsibilities are a lot different. Radiologic technologists are involved in working directly with the patients in order to capture images using imaging equipment. They prepare the patients for the imaging procedures like MRIs X-rays and 4D ultrasound Las Vegas by positioning imaging equipment and they are responsible for protecting the body of patients from radiation using coats and lead covers. You would be interacting with the rad techs during your imaging exams and scans and they are the ones who would be responsible for capturing radiology images during imaging procedures.
