Premium member Presentation Transcript Project Biogas Digester: Project Biogas Digester Using Pig WasteI thought of making a new biogas digester for our piggery, which was already smelly and causing neighbors to complain. But to my surprise an old tank, which my father built years ago, is already in existent. I think it is big enough to handle wastes of about 8 to 12 pigs. I decided to transform this into a digester. : I thought of making a new biogas digester for our piggery, which was already smelly and causing neighbors to complain. But to my surprise an old tank, which my father built years ago, is already in existent. I think it is big enough to handle wastes of about 8 to 12 pigs. I decided to transform this into a digester. Problem is I have to remove this big tube, and its really smelly and messy around this area. But persistence, that is for our neighbors’ sake, for free gas and fertilizer, and greener earth.This is the model I am working on.: This is the model I am working on.After removing the big tube, we made a cement plaster and covered the holes. An improvised dome using an inverted big cooking pan, to make a shape of a dome. It’s my nuclear mini-reactor. Whew!
