Money tree with candy pieces is a fun and easy craft project for St. Patrick’s Day.:

Money tree with candy pieces is a fun and easy craft project for St. Patrick’s Day. Step 1. Trace around a kid’s hand on a sheet of yellow paper or let the kid trace his hand himself. Cut it out. It will form the shape of a tree trunk.

Step 2. Take a sheet of green construction paper or card stock. Glue a handprint tree trunk on the sheet.

Step 3. Using double-sided tape, attach chocolate coins to the tree.

Here is a variation of this St. Patrick Day craft Step 1. Download a tree template from the Internet and print it out on A4 or Letter size paper. You can download a tree template from my site (link in the description area under the video). I use strong paper so it supports attached candy pieces. If you print a tree template on thin paper, you will need to glue it to a sheet of construction paper or card stock.

Step 2. Let kids color the tree with colored pencils or crayons. Kids can also paint the tree; in this case the tree needs to dry before securing candy pieces to it.

If you can’t find chocolate coins (many grocery stores and party stores carry them), use Werther’s original candy instead.
