Fred Lopez became a CFD Cebu member and was authorized to organize the same in Mindanao. August 24, 1979 Mindanao Chapter was first organized in Davao City under the warm welcome of Msgr. Pedro Dean D.D. – currently the CBCP secretary for the Doctrine of Faith. Atty. Medardo Cadiente, Atty. Aristeo Albay, Engr. Roseller Saga, Newscaster Gaudencio Marsada, Bro. Hipolito Sapero, Bro Mario Dumapias, Bro Prudencio Elman, Bro. Renerio Gabini, Bro. Rogelio Bingil, were some of the founding officers. The late Mayor Elias Lopez was also our Honorary member

Carmelo Marelos 1981 – CFD Antipas Cotabato Chapter came into existence 1982 – three (3) CFD Chapters in Davao Oriental were established: San Ignacio Parish Mambusao San Isidro Parish St. Francis Xavier Parish

Lopez to organize the same CFD Chapters continue to expand in early 90’s in Tagum City, Panabo City, Mati City, Agusan areas, Compostela Valley Province, General Santos City, Misamis City, Cagayan de Oro City, Zamboanga City, Tagbilaran, Leyte and other provinces in Visayas and Mindanao
