Slide 1:

This presentation simply describes the process of making bubble hash. It was a long and slow process to make the ultimate one-hit-high. I am in no way promoting the use of marijuana or do not recommend that you try it in anyway. It is an illegal substance in South Africa and most of the world. One can face a criminal charge if found in possession, using or selling this substance.

Slide 2:

Southern Africa is famous for quality marijuana. Local marijuana is found growing in almost all provinces, and distributed through all our petrol service stations and parking lots. Quality marijuana is either home grown or imported from other countries. I was lucky enough to stumble across a friend who had three bushes growing in his backyard. I seized the opportunity to try something new, and started harvesting.

Slide 3:

I harvested the plants on a sunny day around the beginning of winter during 2005. Unfortunately it was just after a massive hail storm. The plants seemed fine but were Still recovering from some damage. I only really cut the stems closest to the heads. My hands were full of oil and were very brown in colour. I knew this was high grade, well treated plant. I then dried the heads and steams in a garage with a heater blowing Warm air evenly over the plant for five days.

Slide 4:

Once dried I placed all the marijuana into two garbage bags and shook them around a bit, very lightly. This is to get the dead leaves off which will sink to the bottom of the bag. Swing around for about five minutes. Take the heads out and place them on some linen cloth. I then chose the not so good looking heads and lightly pulled the heads from the stem, also using scissors and some stages. Place these heads into a bucket. This process was done again and again due to the large volumes of dope. I placed the good heads into another sealed bucket and placed them in the fridge.

Slide 5:

Have about three litres of cold water in the fridge and about six ice trays fulled with ice. Mix the ice and three litres of water with the marijuana heads in the bucket. Leave for about 2 hours. Have an electric blender handy, I used a Brawn which served the purpose. Blend the concoction together until it looks like a green slush puppy. Now put the bucket in the fridge for about three hours.

Slide 6:

Have another bucket handy to sieve the slush puppy. The bucket on the right is the slush puppy concoction, I drained this through the sieve on the left , the pot on the left was filled with green murky water and the stems and plant matter was left in the sieve. Carry on with until you have a full bucket of green water. Let the pot settle for about eight hours. All the trichomes from the heads will harden and sink to the bottom of the bucket forming a greenish brown sludge.

Slide 7:

All that was left in the sieve I drained and placed in a plastic bag. This was quite a long process. Took me two days since blending the heads with water and ice. The plastic bag has wastage in. I do not recommend smoking this. It has hardly any THC left and is really just plant matter.

Slide 8:

I never did take pictures when using the bucket, so this is just for illustration purposes. The water will siphon from the pot/ or bucket. Make sure the water has settled. This will take an hour or so depending the size of the hose that you use.

Slide 9:

Once you have siphoned the greenish water with the pipe. This is what will be left at the bottom of the pot. I am using the bucket here. It is almost like a putty sludge. If you look at an angle it almost has a hazy purpleish oil on top. This is all the sludge from about one garbage bag. It took about three days to get this much. This is your first look at hash in its simplest form.

Slide 10:

I then placed this sludge into a caserole dish and surrounded and covered it in tin foil and placed it in the oven at about 80 degrees Celsius for about thirty minutes. It started to boil. I removed the dish from the oven and it on a sunny window ledge for about four days. It dried very quickly and formed a brown hard hash brick.

Slide 11:

I then scooped the hash out of the caserole dish and squashed it with my fist. My hands were full with oil after doing this. This is the complete process to making bubble hash. I made about two 400 grams of hash from one bag of heads. It was an awesome project and took about a week in total.
