Volunteering is also renowned for skill development and is often intended to promote goodness or to improve quality of life. Volunteering may have positive benefits for the volunteer as well as for the person or community served. Volunteering often plays a pivotal role in the recovery effort following natural disasters such as tsunamis floods droughts hurricanes and earthquakes.

Volunteering is an activity which takes place through not-for-profit and community organizations and projects for your local community and is undertaken:  To benefit the community and the volunteers  Of the volunteer’s own free will and without coercion  For no financial payment. Volunteering is also intended to make contacts for possible employment. Many volunteers are specifically trained in the areas they work such as medicine education or emergency rescue.
