This is on Christmas day in Florida! 1 Slide 2: I then coated the image with ten layers of Acrylic Gel Medium. 2 Slide 3: Once the layers dried, I set the image in lukewarm water and removed the original paper backing. What you see here is the ink transfer. 3 Slide 4: Next, I removed the water portion of the gel transfer. 4 Slide 5: Inspired by a rainy day, I cut the section of water into individual droplets. 5 Slide 6: I'm anticipating a very unlucky semester, as I pasted the gel water droplets to a red umbrella...inside my apartment. 6 Slide 7: A kind and curious neighbor agreed to take this photograph of me beside a motorcycle with the decorated umbrella. 7 Slide 8: Photoshop compensated for my inability to reproduce a painting of the photograph. A fresco filter immediately produced what I envisioned. 8 Slide 9: After resizing, I inserted the image into a coaster. Ironic image for a coaster, don't you think? 9 Slide 10: I inserted the remainder of my gel image into a water jug with a tap. 10 Slide 11: Without food dye, I resorted to wine for coloring. A dilution of wine made its way to the cloud partition. 11 Slide 12: I took the previous two elements and a martini glass into the photo studio to create this lens flare effect. It was printed, then burned. 12 Slide 13: I cut the result into diagonal strips. 13 Slide 14: I rolled the strips onto cigarettes in an alternating pattern. 14 Slide 15: To ensure they would not be smoked, I lit each of them on my apartment railing until unusable. 15 Slide 16: I re-packaged the finished product and strategically placed it in front of a smoking prohibited sign on campus. 16 Slide 17: A comparison – The first photograph was based in aesthetics. The final was more of a statement. Final You do not have the permission to view this presentation. In order to view it, please contact the author of the presentation.
