Tablet Computers Rapidly changing the way educators are providing students with quality instruction. More and more companies are developing tablets, i.e., the Android Tablet, the Kindle Fire The iPad appears to be one of the more popular. Convenient due to size and portability. Thousands of applications for learning are available that are suitable for almost any age, even toddlers.

Uses of Tablets and Applications : 

Uses of Tablets and Applications Students can track their assignments, take notes, do research, and study for tests. Teachers can give lessons, monitor student progress, and keep student records and lesson plans organized. School counselors can use applications for note taking, tracking student records, and research. Both teachers and counselors can benefit from the portability of the tablet.

Applications for Learning Many applications are free and others are very reasonably priced, which makes tablet computers cost effective for use in schools by teachers and counselors and for parents to purchase for their children. The applications expand learning inside and outside of the classroom and range from interactive lessons, to study aids, to productivity tools.

This is very useful for both parents and educators who are determining what to purchase for students.
