Why Study ??? :

Why Study ??? If you want to make something good out of your life, you have to work hard and earn an education, a diploma, or a degree. Most of the jobs you dreamed of having requires a diploma. Take it as a blessing that you are able to enroll in school when others cannot afford to do so or have to work in order to do so.

Why Study ??? :

Why Study ??? Tuition fees and matriculation fees are steadily increasing. Study to make the most out of the money you and your family has invested and paid for. Your families are working so hard to earn money and/or secure money to provide for your family’s needs including the money to send you and your siblings to school.

Why Study ??? :

Why Study ??? Professionals have more opportunities to secure more progressive lifestyles and achieve higher economic status compared to those who are not. Credentials needed: a diploma, an impressive resume, a clean transcript of records, certificates of licenses, trainings & seminars attended, work experiences, good moral character, and etc.

Why Study ??? :

Why Study ??? Having earned a diploma and/or a degree will give you a great sense of accomplishment or achievement. You are educated and civilized and no longer “dim-witted” and ignorant!!! It contributes to your own sense of pride and it is a matter of self-fulfillment as well as that of your family’s.

EFFECTIVE HABITSFOR EFFECTIVE STUDY :

EFFECTIVE HABITSFOR EFFECTIVE STUDY Take responsibility for yourself. Recognize that in order to succeed, you need to make decisions about your priorities, your time, and your resources. Choose your friends well and be mindful of the company you keep. “Birds of the same feather, flock together.” If you have problems in your relationships, in your finances, or in some other things, don’t let these interfere with your studies.

EFFECTIVE HABITSFOR EFFECTIVE STUDY :

EFFECTIVE HABITSFOR EFFECTIVE STUDY Take responsibility for yourself. (continued) Although, it is your parent’s duty and obligation to provide for your education, by principle, it is also your duty and obligation to study and finish your schooling on the proper time. Don’t let go or sacrifice the values (i.e. the value of education, family, etc.) and virtues (industry, patience, perseverance, discipline, dedication, etc.) you were taught just because you want assert or demand your freedom and individuality.

EFFECTIVE HABITSFOR EFFECTIVE STUDY :

EFFECTIVE HABITSFOR EFFECTIVE STUDY If you have problems in studying, ask for help. If you don't understand the material or lesson, consult your professor, see your academic advisor, ask your classmates or upper class students, join a study group, or hire a tutor. Don’t panic or be anxious if you can’t seem to understand your lessons while studying. Relax, organize your thoughts, and study calmly.

EFFECTIVE HABITSFOR EFFECTIVE STUDY :

EFFECTIVE HABITSFOR EFFECTIVE STUDY Put first things first. Discipline yourself. As a young person enrolled in school, your first priority should be to study well. Follow up on the priorities you have set for yourself and persistently pursue them. Be firm and steadfast in your resolve to put your studies first before pleasure or fun.

EFFECTIVE HABITSFOR EFFECTIVE STUDY :

EFFECTIVE HABITSFOR EFFECTIVE STUDY Discover your key productivity state for optimum absorption. Morning, afternoon, or evening? Full or empty stomach? Having something to munch on or none? Where? With people or alone? With sounds or silence? In an enclosed room or in open air?

EFFECTIVE HABITSFOR EFFECTIVE STUDY :

EFFECTIVE HABITSFOR EFFECTIVE STUDY Consider it as a win-win situation. If you study well, you earn its rewards. If you study harder, you earn recognition and respect from the people around you. Study to learn and not just to earn high grades. Learning is understanding, comprehending, and being prepared for the future.

PREPARING TO STUDY: A GOOD STUDY PLACE :

PREPARING TO STUDY: A GOOD STUDY PLACE Is my study place available to me whenever I need it? Your study place does you little good if you cannot use it when you need it. PREPARING TO STUDY: A GOOD STUDY PLACE :

PREPARING TO STUDY: A GOOD STUDY PLACE Is my study place free from interruptions? You may have to hang a DO NOT DISTURB or DO NOT ENTER sign on the door or tell people not to disturb you, and take the phone off the hook or put away your mobile phones.

PREPARING TO STUDY: A GOOD STUDY PLACE :

If it is too cold, your thinking may slow down and become unclear. You may also become sleepy. Select a temperature at which your mind and body can function best.

PREFERRED LEARNING STYLE :

PREFERRED LEARNING STYLE A learning style is a way of learning. Your preferred learning style is the way in which you learn best. Auditory Learning Style Visual Learning Style Tactile or Kinesthetic Learning Style

PREFERRED LEARNING STYLE :

Are you an Auditory Learner? Do you prefer information to be presented in an auditory language format? Do you seem to learn best in classes that emphasize teacher lectures and class discussions? Does listening to music or sounds help you learn better? Do you find yourself reading and memorizing aloud or talking things out to gain better understanding? If YES, you are probably an Auditory Learner. PREFERRED LEARNING STYLE

PREFERRED LEARNING STYLE :

Are you a Visual Learner? Do you prefer information to be presented in a written language format or in another visual formats such as pictures or diagrams? Do you do best in classes in which teachers do a lot of writing on the board, provide clear handouts, and make extensive use of multimedia such as projectors, videos, etc.? Do you try to remember information by creating pictures in your mind? Do you take detailed written notes from your textbooks and in class? If YES, you are probably a Visual Learner. PREFERRED LEARNING STYLE

PREFERRED LEARNING STYLE :

Are you a Tactile or Kinesthetic Learner? Do you prefer hands-on learning settings in which you can physically manipulate something in order to learn about it? Do you learn best when you can move about and handle things? Do you do well in classes in which there is a laboratory or practical skill component? Do you learn better when you have an actual object in your hands rather than a picture of the object or a verbal or written description of it? If YES, you are probably a Tactile or Kinesthetic Learner. PREFERRED LEARNING STYLE

PREFERRED LEARNING STYLE

GOOD LISTENING IN CLASS :

Be Cognitively Ready to Listen when You Come to Class. Make sure you complete all the assigned work and readings. Review your notes from previous class sessions. Think about what you know about the topic that will be covered in class that day. For some students, listening attentively is enough to get the information and lesson. GOOD LISTENING IN CLASS

QUOTATIONS :

QUOTATIONS It is only the ignorant who despise education. - Publilius Syrus It must be remembered that the purpose of education is not to fill the minds of students with facts... it is to teach them to think, if that is possible, and always to think for themselves. - Robert Hutchins Education is the transmission of civilization. - Will Durant

QUOTATIONS :

QUOTATIONS The roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet. – Aristotle Education is the best provision for old age. - Aristotle When asked how much educated men were superior to those uneducated, Aristotle answered, ‘As much as the living are to the dead.’ - Diogenes Laetius

CONCLUSION :

CONCLUSION Learning happens in the mind of the learner. No matter how good, how extensive, how prepared the teacher is in teaching the lessons, if the student is not interested in learning at all, minimal learning will take place or even none at all. Always remember, you are the major beneficiary of education. What you gain from education is yours to keep, treasure, share, show, and take advantage of. It is your life.
