He is the only son among 5 children of chinese immigrants
He studied Fine Arts at the University of Santo Tomas from 1952-1954

Ang Kiukok A lot of Kiukok’s subjects were drawn from Philippine poverty and oppression
But he also used universal symbols such as stockpiled weapons, dogfights, cockfights, man on fire, and the crucifixion, and has dwelt not on the concrete particularities of time and place but on the theme of “human condition”
