Premium member Presentation Transcript Slide 1: Quick Tutorials In Adobe Photoshop Elements Tutorial 1: From Liberty Cottage: http://libertycottage.blogspot.com How to resize images How to copy multiple images onto a single page How to flatten a .psd file Slide 2: Open Photoshop Elements. Click File New Blank File Slide 3: In the first drop down box, select “International Paper” (if you use A4 paper as standard) Slide 4: In the ‘size’ drop down menu, select A4 and a new blank A4 size canvas will appear Slide 5: To open your photographs, select File Open Slide 6: Navigate to the photos that you want and double click to open. Slide 7: To change the size of your image, click Image Image Size Slide 8: The resolution should usually be 300. Slide 9: You can change the measurements to centimetres, inches, pixels etc. and change to the size you require by typing in numbers Slide 10: I changed mine to 6 inches by 4 inches and resolution to 300. Note: ‘Constrain Proportions’ box is ticked (see later) Slide 11: Lo and behold, the picture is now the size you require. Slide 12: Hold CTRL+C and you will see marching ants moving around the outside of the image. Slide 13: Double click on the first project at the bottom of the screen to go back to your A4 blank page. Slide 14: Click Edit Paste Slide 15: Ta Dah!! Now for the next image! Slide 16: To open your photographs, select File Open Slide 17: Navigate to the photos that you want and double click to open. Slide 18: Once your 2nd image is open, click Image Image Size For the purpose of demonstration, I have unticked “constrain proportions and selected to make my image long and thin: 8 inches by 2 inches. Slide 19: By unticking “constrain proportions” my image is now skewed (which is not a good thing but good to demonstrate how it works). Slide 20: Hold CTRL+C again to get the marching ants around the edge Slide 21: Go back to the A4 document by double clicking the project. Then click Edit Paste Slide 22: Go back to the A4 document by double clicking the project. Then click Edit Paste ......Tah Dah Take 2! Slide 23: You can add more photos if you can fit them onto the page. I always seem to have trouble printing in PSE so I click File Save As Slide 24: Save the file as a .jpeg Slide 25: Locate the .jpeg and double click to open it. Print directly from there and follow the on-screen wizard Slide 26: All finished! Well done.. ...actually... ....come a little closer.... ....there’s more. Slide 27: To change from a layered .psd file to a flat .jpeg Click Layer Flatten Image Watch here! Template: Cathy Zielske No. 8 Slide 28: Tah Dah! ..and now you have a flat image with just one layer. If this was a scrapbook page you could copy it directly now to wherever you wanted as a .jpeg.
