Slide4:

1 Peter 2 v 24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. 1 Peter 1 v 3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead…

Romans 13 v 11 The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over, the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armour of light.

Slide7:

Revelation 3 v 2 -3 “Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of my God. Remember therefore , what you have received and heard; obey it and repent”.

Slide8:

Lessons We do not need to strive to attain our salvation. The working out of our salvation comes afterwards (Philippians 2 v 12 -13) As we “arise and shine” others will be drawn to His light (Isaiah 60 v 1 -3, Matthew 5 v 16) We should not hold back from declaring the full counsel of God (Acts 20 v 27, John 3 v 16 -18 and John 3 v 35 -36)
