Part I – The Gospel in Deeds

Slide6:

“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth .” John 1:14

Part II – The Ministry of Reconciliation

Slide8:

“All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation . We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal though us. We implore you on God’s behalf: be reconciled to God.” II Cor. 5:18-20

Slide9:

Part III – Works for Us to Do

Slide10:

“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. ” Ephesians 2:10

Part IV – Religion Doesn’t Cut It. It Has to be a Culture

Slide12:

“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter – when you see the naked, to clothe him and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood? Then your light will break forth like the dawn .” Isaiah 58:6-8

Slide13:

Part IV – Deeds of Faith

Slide14:

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” Hebrews 11:6
