February 2005 to Present Implemented the Statewide Information and Intelligence Sharing Strategy that is comprehensive, consistent and coordinated.
CJJIS Council created Law Enforcement Connectivity Workgroup and implemented the Technology Sub-Committee which represents the 7 regions.
Hired Technical Coordinator who completed onsite visits to “lift the hood” of each region’s chosen technology solution or strategy
On 10-12-05 the Domestic Security Oversight Council voted in support of the statewide strategy and direction of project.

Endorsed by the Miami-Dade Association of Chiefs of Police.
Created milestones for the regional projects and overall statewide connectivity.
Developed Statement Of Work associated with Phase 1 “Data Mapping” efforts
Integrated an FDLE Internal Auditor to review project procurement processes and expenditures
Created project website - www.fdle.state.fl.us/flex
Slide25 : FLEX – Next Steps Develop and signing of formal MOUs, between respective projects/FLEX participants
Develop of Privacy Policies for regional projects and FLEX connectivity
Complete sub-grant applications for each project to receive DHS/ODP funds for individual projects
Finalize the creation of the initial FLEX Data Dictionary which will refine the data elements that will be shared
Slide26 : FLEX – Next Steps Ensure that all Regions are conducting “data mapping” of individual agency data to the Global Justice XML Data Model (GJXDM) standard for data sharing
Develop requirement documents for Phase 3 - to provide the high end analytic capability “FLEX web utility belt” for system users
Identify additional funding needs and sustainment requirements for consideration at the upcoming Domestic Security Funding Conference
