I started school in the late 1980s in Honolulu, Hawaii. I graduated from Roosevelt High School in 2002. I first went to college at the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2002. I graduated in 2006 with a BS in Zoology. When I finish my teaching certificate program, I hope to become a public high school science teacher in Hawaii. My definition of educational technology : My definition of educational technology ... Is a tool that helps individuals to acquire knowledge and/or skills and enhances understanding. These tools can be material, such as a software program or a computer, or immaterial, such as a concept or strategy for critical thinking. Many classes relied heavily on the internet to communicate with students Students obtained information and connected with other class members through email and social online networks. Students were able to access information through their phones and other hand held devices. http://www.kottke.org/plus/misc/images/iphone-parallels.jpg http://waas.pvusd.net/images/online_000.jpg A vivid technology learning experience : A vivid technology learning experience As a graduate student I learned that not all powerpoint presentations created on a Mac are compatible with other computers. During my first seminar presentation as a grad student, I tried to load my Mac made presentation on a Dell computer and realized that my graphs were skewed and some of my pictures didn’t show up.
