Ms. Hudson’s Classroom Rules: 

Ms. Hudson’s Classroom Rules Bring all materials to class Raise your hand before speaking and wait to be recognized Be respectful to your neighbors-keep hands, feet, and all other objects to yourself Keep your work area neat and clean Give 100% at all times

Classroom Procedures: 

Classroom Procedures Enter classroom quietly and place jackets and backpacks in their designated areas. Take out all materials needed for the workday-paper, pencil, and etc. Have a seat in assigned seats. Begin the morning bell ringer When done sit or read quietly and wait on further instruction.

Classroom Procedures Continued: 

Classroom Procedures Continued Homework folders and newsletters will go home on Monday. Folders with completed homework are due on Thursday. Restroom breaks will be granted during transition times-before lunch, after recess, and etc. In case of an emergency notify the teacher by holding up 3 fingers and you will be permitted an emergency pass.

Consequences and Rewards: 

Consequences and Rewards Positive Consequences Verbal praise Positive note or phone call to parent Points earned toward preferred activity time Negative Consequences Talk with student in hallway after lunch Lunch Detention Phone call to parents Referral to parents Referral to principal(severe cases)

Preferred Activity Time: 

Preferred Activity Time Every other Friday there will be a preferred activity time up to 30 minutes. Minutes are earned by following directions. Minutes are lost by disregarding rules. You may pick any activity from the activity menu for that week.

Count Down: 

Count Down Raise hand in the air and count down from five signifies that all eyes and attention should be on me. If class is not quiet minutes are taken from Preferred Activity Time.

End of Day Procedures : 

End of Day Procedures Classroom helpers are to pick trash and sharpen pencils for the next school day beginning at the 3:00p.m. bell. Students are to gather belongings and other materials needed to take home at 3:05p.m.(Timer will buzz) Car riders are to line up and wait for dismissal at the 3:10p.m. bell. Bus riders are to line up and wait for dismissal at the 3:20p.m. bell.

Other Areas of Interest: 

Other Areas of Interest Group Work Groups will be assigned by teacher. Work within your group only. Buzzer will indicate end of group work. Restroom Rules Be responsible and clean up after yourself. Do this in a timely manner. Cafeteria Rules Enter cafeteria in a single file line Students who are on lunch detention sit at the end of the table isolated from others. No talking above a whisper. Classroom Helpers Names and job assignments will be placed on bulletin board weekly.
