Who is God?:

Who is God?

For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear: I will help you.  -Isaiah 41:13:

For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear: I will help you. - Isaiah 41:13

He knows about everyone, everywhere. Everything about us is bare and wide open to the all-seeing eyes of our living God; nothing can be hidden from him to whom we must explain all that we have done.  Hebrews 4:13:

I myself will be the Shepherd of my sheep, and cause them to lie down in peace, the Lord God says. I will seek my lost ones, those who strayed away, and bring them safely home again. I will put splints and bandages upon their broken limbs and heal the sick. And I will destroy the powerful, fat shepherds; I will feed them, yes--feed them punishment!  -Ezekiel 34:15:

Who is Jesus?

Before anything else existed, there was Christ, with God. He has always been alive and is himself God. And Christ became a human being and lived here on earth among us and was full of loving forgiveness and truth.  -John 1:1,14:

Jesus carries out and fulfills all of God's promises, no matter how many of them there are.  -II Corinthians 1:20:

Jesus carries out and fulfills all of God's promises, no matter how many of them there are. - II Corinthians 1:20

I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. // No one can kill me without my consent--I lay down my life voluntarily. For I have the right and power to lay it down when I want to and also the right and power to take it again. For the Father has given me this right.  -John 10:11,18:

Slide 13:

We despised him and rejected him--a man of sorrows, acquainted with bitterest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way when he went by. He was despised and we didn't care. Yet it was our grief he bore, our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, for his own sins! But he was wounded and bruised for our sins. He was beaten that we might have peace; he was lashed--and we were healed! We--every one of us--have strayed away like sheep! We, who left God's paths to follow our own. Yet God laid on him the guilt and sins of every one of us! // From prison and trial they led him away to his death. But who among the people of that day realized it was their sins that he was dying for--that he was suffering their punishment? He was buried like a criminal, but in a rich man's grave; but he had done no wrong, and had never spoken an evil word. But it was the Lord's good plan to bruise him and fill him with grief. However when his soul has been made an offering for sin, then he shall have a multitude of children, many heirs. He shall live again and God's program shall prosper in his hands. - Isaiah 53:2-6, 8-10

God Loves You!:

God Loves You!

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. -John 3:16:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life . -John 3:16 This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn't go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. -Romans 5:8:

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us . -Romans 5:8 But God commendeth ... - God has exhibited or showed his love in this unusual and remarkable manner. His love - His kind feeling; his beneficence; his willingness to submit to sacrifice to do good to others. While we were yet sinners - And of course his enemies. In this, his love surpasses all that has ever been manifested among people. Christ died for us - In our stead; to save us from death. He took our place; and by dying himself on the cross, saved us from dying eternally in hell.

But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved -Ephesians 2:4-5:
