“LEADERSHIP BEHAVIOR” LEADERSHIP - - Leadership is interpersonal influence process of setting direction and inspiring others to achieve goals. BEHAVIOR - - Behavior is associated with exercise of authority .

Why study leadership behavior....?: 

Why study leadership behavior....? leaders don’t know “WHAT TO DO?” and “HOW TO DO?’’ Is a function of intelligence, experience,knowledge,emotional intelligence,interest,goals and ,personality traits

Three approaches to leadership behavior: 

Three approaches to leadership behavior ( i )LEADERSHIP- - This approach is comes under OHIO STATE LEADERSHIP STUDY . It includes dimensions- a) People Oriented(consideration)- to study leader behavior towards subordinate. b) Task Oriented(initiating structure)- to study Is leader is task oriented? and direct subordinate.

(ii) LEADERSHIP IMPACT INFLUENCE - - This approach comes under MICHIGIAN STUDIES. It includes- - a) Production orientation- stress on technical production and it is job oriented. B) EE orientation- stress on human needs of followers. :
