Today we are going to be learning about the four seasons! : 

Today we are going to be learning about the four seasons! Here is what we are going to learn about: Winter Spring Summer Fall Author’s Slide Resources Click on the above picture to watch a video on the different seasons! QUIT

Winter : 

Winter It starts to get dark earlier in the day It is usually cold and wet, but it varies around the world 3 months of Winter: December, January, & February Precipitation: Snow, sleet, hail, ice, & freezing rain At what temperature does it begin to snow?: 32° F QUIT

What can we do in Winter? : 

What can we do in Winter? Build a snowman! Build an igloo! Go ice skating! Go skiing! Play in the snow! What else? QUIT

Spring : 

Spring 3 months of Spring: March, April, & May It starts to get lighter earlier in the day Some days are cold, but the weather is starting to get warmer! Trees start to grow buds and new leaves Flowers and plants begin to bloom and grow It is usually windy and rains a lot Animals start to have their babies QUIT

What can we do in Spring? : 

What can we do in Spring? Because it is warmer out, we can play outside longer, ride bikes, plant flowers, go for walks, and use umbrellas on rainy days! What else? QUIT

Summer : 

Summer 3 months of Summer: June, July, & August Weather: It is typically very warm, sunny, light breezes The Sun’s rays can be harmful to our bodies… Protect your skin: Always wear sunscreen Protect your eyes: Never look at the sun It stays lighter out earlier and longer in the day QUIT

What can we do in Summer? : 

What can we do in Summer? Go swimming! Play outside! Go running! Go to the beach! Ride our bikes! Go on a picnic! Wear sunglasses! What else? QUIT

Autumn : 

Autumn 3 months of Autumn: September, October, & November Autumn is also known as Fall Weather: It may be warm and sunny during the day, but cold at night; There is usually lots of rain and strong winds Less hours of daylight The tree leaves start to change colors & eventually fall off the trees QUIT

What can we do in Autumn? : 

What can we do in Autumn? Rake leaves and then jump in the piles! Carve pumpkins! Drink warm apple cider! Go for a walk to look at the beautiful leaves! Make Halloween decorations! Go to an apple orchard and pick apples! What else? QUIT
