What is a Podcast? :What is a Podcast? A podcast is a series of digital media files that can be downloaded through the internet. Podcasts can be done in series and may automatically download when a new podcast is uploaded.
Why is a Podcast Useful? :Why is a Podcast Useful? Podcast users can choose many different podcasts in any subject they want to learn about.
Teachers can use them to make their lessons automatically available after class for students to review.
Why should I use podcasting in the classroom? :Why should I use podcasting in the classroom? Students can go back and listen at home
It provides visuals for the students
It is reinforcement for things they may not have understood
Helps the students study
Powerpoint Basics :Powerpoint Basics Best to keep your slides VERY simple. You do not want there to be too much to distract.
Make the font big (32+)
Don’t use transitions, or overdue graphics.

Adding Voice :Adding Voice To narrate your slides you must have a microphone & a quiet environment
On menu bar go to Slide Show and then down to Record Narration
Your powerpoint will begin playing and you can begin speaking. Click to advance to the next slide
At the end make sure to click “yes” in regards to using the timings or else a slide may cut off.
Voice Basics :Voice Basics A speaker will appear at the bottom of each slide when you are done narrating
Make sure your settings are such so that when your slide show plays your narrations begin automatically
Click the speaker to see your settings next to the play drop down make sure it says: AUTOMATICALLY.

From here you can go to Authorstream.com and register. Then you can upload your PPT and this FREE website will convert it to an .mpeg4 file for your podcast.
The podcast can then be uploaded on youtube or watched on your ipod.
