Challenge Day Schedules Judge registration begins at 8:00am Breakfast and lunch will be provided You will receive a folder containing the following: Detailed schedule of where you need to be and when you need to be there Map of the campus Assessment rubrics for each presentation you will be viewing Copy of the Action Roundtable Judge survey We will have a brief orientation/refresher about judge duties Opening ceremony begins at 9:00am (attendance is optional) Student presentations take place from 10am – 3pm Awards ceremony begins at 3:00pm (attendance is optional)

Question and Answer Period Focus on process questions: Why did you choose this topic? How were the responsibilities divided up? Why did you choose this format? What resources were particularly helpful to you? How did you find information? This should be a positive experience for the students – This is not the time for criticisms of any kind . Do not debate the issues with the students.

Action Roundtable: 

Action Roundtable Synthesize knowledge about the theme in a different setting Work with peers to formulate a unified consensus, and organize a sound presentation that articulates this consensus Teach time management skills under time pressure Encourage the need to listen to the views of others Engage in dialogue with members of the community
