My Pledge I pledge to put forth my best effort to make this school and classroom a place of E ducational Excellency. I pledge to model professionalism, responsibility, and dedication to the cause of you, in and out of your presence.

Family & Fun:

Family & Fun I am married with six children, three daughters, three sons, one granddaughter, and one grandson. We love worshiping God, competitive games, movies, decorating, eating, and traveling together. My husband is a carpenter/insurance agent of 20 years. I have been in the teaching field for 15 years, inspired by my children.

My Expectations:

My Expectations I expect every student to learn. I expect every student to do her or his best. I expect every student to read fluently. I expect every student to complete assignments, homework, and classwork. I expect every student to participate daily.

Classroom Management:

Classroom Management Greet the teacher and enter our classroom quietly. Remove and hang up your backpack and garments . Take out your homework and supplies. Place notes from home on the teacher’s desk. Begin working on the bell ringer.

Classroom Procedures:

Classroom Procedures When I need your attention I will raise my hand. Stop what you are doing, raise your hand, and make eye contact with me to show that you are ready to listen. Keep voices low at all times. In the hallways and during announcements there is no talking. Respect each other at all times, as well as respect all other students, teachers, principals, and visitors on our campus.

Classroom Procedures cont. Use your best manners at all times. When speaking to adults say “Yes or No Ma’am” and “Yes or No Sir.” Speak in complete sentences. Keep your hands and feet to yourselves. Running is only allowed during PE games and on the playground. When someone enters the classroom continue working quietly and follow all classroom rules and procedures.

Classroom Procedures cont. Sharpen pencils at the end of the day in preparation for the next day. Keep three sharpened pencils at all times. Use the restroom before the tardy bell rings. In case of emergency, get hall pass. Discard trash at end of period.

Classroom Procedures cont. Follow all classroom rules and procedures when visiting teachers or substitute teachers are in the classroom. Put materials away. Push in your chair. Wait for teacher dismissal, not the bell, or clock . Exit quietly.

Reminders:

Reminders Always remember that we are a FAMILY, and we are going to have a FANTASTIC school year. Nibble snacks will be available all day. Please keep your area clean. You may keep a water bottle on/in your desk.
