Slide 6: Ellis Island Aerial View Sunshine 3 : Sunshine 3 Discuss the evolution of Ellis Island since the time it was taken from the military till the time it was used for quarantine purposes up into the late 1920s. (Focus on the physical growth.) Do you see the island as a symbol of hope to the immigrants, being that they just passed our symbol of liberty?
