Disciplined As a new administrator it is important that I remember “ student success ” and increased “student achievement” are the focus of the school. It seems that Rancho presently uses a model more aligned with the “ deficit model ” given that the school focuses mostly on student weaknesses not teacher/school weaknesses. The veteran teachers on campus are “ stuck in their ways ” often resisting change, and placing blame on the students. It is apparent that Rancho Alamitos wants to increase student achievement and is exploring more positive values and changesEvidence of Growth through EDL 586 Strengths Assignment B: Evidence of Growth through EDL 586 Strengths Assignment B Leadership tasks I do with ease Strengths that Come Into Play 1. Identifying areas of need and facilitating discussions on how to address them Achiever, Communicator, Focused Leadership tasks with which I struggle Strengths that Come Into Play 1. Providing positive and constructive feedback to staff members Communicator, Positivity, Empathy 2. Including all staff members in planning and decision making Communicator, Fairness (Includer) 3. Communicator I am confident when speaking to others and am never afraid of speaking my mind, almost to a fault. Focused Despite obstacles in my life I never lose sight of my goals and ambitions.
