Slide 3: An airboat tour is the best way to discover Florida's River of Grass and its alligators, birds, otters, fish, turtles and other wildlife. Slide 4: A vintage car waits for its driver in the Art Deco District. Slide 5: Cocowalk in Coconut Grove offers roughly 30 stores and restaurants in an outdoor mall. While there are a handful of chain stores, the shopping center features mostly independent shops selling clothing, accessories, perfume and the like. Slide 6: The Port of Miami is a major departure point for Caribbean cruises. Slide 7: South Beach. Slide 8: Located in Miami Gardens, a Miami suburb, Dolphin Stadium is home to the Miami Dolphins and the Florida Marlins. Created by sculptor Kenneth Treister, the Holocaust Memorial of Miami Beach contains a number of sculptures and gardens honoring the 6 million Holocaust victims. Slide 11: The Miami metropolitan area has a population of more than 5 million, with growth in recent years fueled by immigration from both inside and outside the U.S. Slide 12: Turntables spin as club patrons move on the dance floor at Opium nightclub, one of a thick cluster of clubs in South Beach. Slide 13: The Homestead-Miami Speedway was built as part of a plan to revitalize the city of Homestead after the devastation of Hurricane Andrew (1992). The 1.5-mile oval is one of the most beautiful tracks in the country, evoking the art deco colors and architecture of downtown Miami.
