How does your business know if they qualify for the CESQG program?:

How does your business know if they qualify for the CESQG program? There are three basic requirements to be eligible to participate in the CESQG program. Your business cannot produce more than 220 lbs of hazardous waste per month. Your business cannot store over 2,200 lbs of hazardous waste on site at one time. Your business cannot contain more than 2.2 lbs of acutely hazardous waste at any time. (Acutely hazardous waste can be found listed on the EPA P-List) If your business meets the three requirements then you have to register for the CESQG program. A registration form which is available at the RCC, must be completed and returned for review. A waste inventory must also be completed and returned. A fee will be charged to CESQG participants based on handling, storage, and contractors disposal cost for material types.

What about Latex Paint?:

What about Latex Paint? Latex paint received at the HHM Regional Collection Center and Mobile Trailer will be assessed a $1 per gallon fee. Latex paint contains water as the solvent to keep the paint liquefied and not considered hazardous. You can dispose of latex paint yourself: Open the paint can and let it dry out on its own. Pour the paint onto newspapers, cardboard or plastic and let dry, then place in the trash. Mix paint with cat litter, floor dry or sawdust, then stir it and let it dry. Remember: when the paint is dried out, to discard the cans with lids off so the waste hauler knows the paint can is empty or dried out.
