Once upon a time, long ago(the 70s) and far away (NY City), Johnny (our jazz pianist, composer, arranger) and his friend Doris (sharp ad exec) were marveling at this new “Women’s Lib” phenomenon.

Slide 3:

Women were standing up for themselves, asking for equal treatment. Imagine . . . that could touch every aspect of life. It could impact longstanding traditions.

Slide 4:

They explored the notion of Holiday. What if Santa Claus couldn’t make his annual sleigh ride... and Mrs. Santa saved the day! So, Johnny and Doris wrote: “Here Comes Missus Santa Claus.”

Slide 5:

As can happen, Johnny moved away, Doris stayed put, and the song settled quietly into Johnny’s music portfolio. For years and years. And years.

Slide 6:

One day... Johnny’s friend Hani was asked if she knew of a “different” Holiday tune. No, but she knew who to ask… her friend Johnny. Did he ever write a Christmas song?

Johnny and Hani gave “Mrs. Santa” a makeover for the new millennium. A lovable, singable story of smiles, joy, love and happy endings; a new tradition for Holiday.

Trains and dolls and games to play All for Christmas day. . . .

Santa was set to go Starting to make the flight, When on the hill, he took a spill, No ride for him tonight.

Then a calming voice said “That’s okay, I’ll see the presents on their way...”

Here comes Mrs. Santa Claus… Let’s give her three cheers because,

She’ll make this year’s Christmas news, filling Santa’s Shoes.

With her gentle “ho, ho, ho” Kids and grownups soon will know, Someone else is there to steer the Christmas sleigh this year.

Now everybody sure loves Santa. What’s Christmas without the jolly man, But it’s nice to know if Santa can’t Mrs. Santa can!

So here comes Mrs. Santa Claus Doing just what Santa does, Bringing joy and love and cheer to everyone this year.
