Slide 1:

There are a wide range of educational technology tools available for students and educators. In the following slides, there are 8 technology tools. They are rated on the scale of 5-1 apples. With 5 apples being the highest, that means the technology tool is effective, efficient, and appealing for both students and educators. 8 Technology Tools Krystle Lynn S. DeVera ED 451 Dr. J. A great way for professors to keep students updated with assignments or remind them on what is due for class is through Moodle. It is a convenient and an easy way to connect with students and professors. Students also can view their grades online. As a student, it’s easy to use and it allows me to upload all my assignments that’s due into one site. I can also keep in touch with my classmates and professor by chatting or messaging them if I need any help or have any questions. = 5 apples! Click to go to website!

I enjoyed practicing on making bookmarks, tags, bundles, and networks. It is another great technology tool where it allows me to save all my favorite websites all into one place. I like how the tags help me find a particular website I saved, when I have a great amount of bookmarks. = 5 apples! Click to go to website!

I am so used to using Internet Explorer only. I’m glad I got the chance to use another web browser such as FireFox. It’s actually faster than Internet Explorer. Also, I noticed that its security keeps my computer safe from affecting viruses and threats. It is also really easy to use and navigate. = 5 apples! Click to go to website!

I had a Gmail account ever since high school. During that time, I didn’t know Google offered so many things until now. ED 451 allowed me to learn the many things it offers. For instance, www.blogger.com allows people to create blogs. We created so many in our class. With interactive documents, it is good for group meetings online to work on a certain document. Another is Google Pages, which you can create a webpage through your creativity and desire. = 5 apples! Click to go to website!

When I first came across and explored the search engine, Ujiko, my first impressions were “space,” “future,” and “game.” I also noticed that each time I used Ujiko, I gained one point. Once I earned a certain number of points, the search engine enabled me to access more advanced features such as images, video, news, encyclopedia, and so forth. It would’ve been better if Ujiko offered these features from the beginning. We shouldn’t accumulate and earn points to get advanced features. Also, I’ve noticed that Ujiko doesn’t give the quickest results. I am used to Google, so I know how slow it is compared to Google. However, this search engine is very unique in its own way. It allows us to manage the search results in an innovative and visual way. It sorts websites according to their common topics, which is very useful and helpful. = 4 apples! Click to go to website!

People can of course use this tool for educational purposes. For example, students can upload any picture and edit them in any number of ways. They can do most common tasks such as auto-fix, rotate, crop, resize, change the exposure, fiddle with the color, sharpen, eliminate red-eye, and undo. It is a great way to empower both teachers and students to use this tool to edit and enhance photos used for digital stories, documentaries, and any other type of classroom presentations. The only problem about this is that it takes a while to download. All in all, I was impressed with this website. I found Picnik to be very useful, fun, and easy to use. Picnik is organized so thoughtfully and logically that I was up and running within minutes. I recommended everyone to try it and see for themselves. = 4 apples! Click to go to website!
