If students believe that they will be successful learners (which creates a pleasant feeling), they are more apt to try (Hunter, 2004). “An awareness of the three feeling tones and facility in creating each of them, when needed, are the hallmarks of a teacher who is proactive on students’ motivation rather than merely being reactive to their lack of it (Hunter, 2004).”
