Establishing Collegiality Among Staff to Empower the School Vision:

Establishing Collegiality Among Staff to Empower the School Vision According to Roland Barth’s book, Improving Schools from Within, he refers to the secret of a good school setting is “Collegiality.” At its heart, this social quality, which is more commonly associated with university faculty than with elementary or secondary school teachers, depends on respect of teachers and principals for themselves and for each other. Trust and respect among staff is a vital part in order for collegiality to occur.

Practicing the Vision The Community Learning Environment shall provide students with a social and emotional base through community involvement and commitment. Goal: administrators and teachers goal is to provide meaningful activities, events, projects, cooperative groups, technological experiences while acknowledging cultural and linguistic differences that promote a positive, safe and trusting learning environment.
