I had not eaten, slept, or walked with ancient peoples before. Now I have. An interesting trip that made history come alive for me in ways that I did not anticipate

Seventy one percent of Papua is unexplored. The Stone Age Papua people are well suited to living off the land as they have for centuries.
Slide 4:
They have never used the wheel, pottery, metals or even pack animals and they cook and eat without dishes or utensils. They have fought between the tribal villages for centuries, often over petty issues.
Slide 5:
Only within the past few years has the outside world brought Christian ideas and newer technology to those close to the frontier towns, changing the dynamics of the villages. There are new concerns such as smoking, sanitation, healthcare and education
