Premium member Presentation Transcript Cowboy Caviar : Cowboy Caviar “Time to Teach” Presented by Kayti Corcoran 11/14/11Recipe : Recipe 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar 1 clove garlic, minced 1 firm, ripe avocado 1 (15- ounce) can black-eyed peas, drained 1 (11-ounce) can corn kernel, drained 2/3 cup sliced green onion 2/3 chopped fresh cilantro 1 small basket cherry tomatoes, sliced Salt to taste Ground black pepper to taste Tortilla chip for accompanimentGetting the ingredients:: Getting the ingredients: Look at the color. Feel your avocadoes to determine if it is ripe This one is too ripe! Look at the top of the horizontal avocado, its bruised from my finger.Confident in your ingredients…: Confident in your ingredients… Most avocados will be a dark green or black when they are ripe. Avocados are ripe when they give a little with your touch. If they don’t they are not ripe. If they give too much or bruise, its over ripe.Look for fresh vibrant greens!: Look for fresh vibrant greens!Strain your corn and peas! Click the picture now...: Strain your corn and peas! Click the picture now...Other necessary supplies: Other necessary supplies Medium size bowl An avocado cutting knife (if you have one) or regular knife Regular knife Cutting board Measuring cup and a tablespoonMake sure you have all the ingredients!: Make sure you have all the ingredients!The sequence:: The sequence: Pour the strained corn and blacked peas into a medium size bowl Cut your avocado in half and add. Add 2/3 cup into bowlNext-: Next- 1. Slice green onion 2.
