Premium member Presentation Transcript Slide 1: GOVERNMENT CONSUMER A PRESENTATION ON Presented by:- Kashyap Dwivedi E- GOVERNANCE & G2CSlide 2: E-Government can be broadly defined as the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) e-Government is generally defined as being “ the use of digital technologies to transform government operations in order to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and service delivery ” e-Government is not a single event in short period of time but a long-term evolutionary process of transforming government to focus on citizen services.Slide 3: Purpose of e-government The purpose of e-government is a more effective delivery of government services to citizens . The more services are available online and the greater the usage of these services, the greater will be the impact of e-government. E-government requires a critical mass of e-Citizens and e-Businesses to generate sustainable impact beyond internal efficiency and transparency of government . Government will only be e-successful if there is a strong demand and support for it from the majority of population. Some of this demand will come from better awareness of the opportunities far better and faster government service delivery. Citizens and business also need to be motivated to participate in e-gov. by the abundance of compelling, relevant, accessible digital content.Slide 5: The following four objectives can be achieved when e-Government project implement successfully: Government at on-line service Paperless government Knowledge-based Knowledge government Transparent governmentSlide 6: e-Government consists of three major tasks Innovating Citizen Services Innovating Business Services Innovating the way Government works G2C G2B G2GSlide 7: E-Governance TreeSlide 8: Government to Citizen Services G2C is the communication link between a government and private individuals or residents. G2C can take place at the federal, state, and local levels, G2C stands in contrast to G2B, or Government-to- Business networks .
