Education is not only knowledge oriented but acquiring wisdom. Holistic approach of education. As Mr. Einstein said(technique existence and action knowledge should be the ultimate for the student to be educated).Effect of education on poverty: Effect of education on poverty 40% of the population in India is living below poverty line. This has a great effect on the children. Adequate education given will enable them to lead a decent life. They will also be able to improve the economic status of there family and nation.What is Quality Education?: What is Quality Education? It speaks of complete education not the three R’s only. As three R’s are Reading Writing and Arithmetic. As per Ms. Dana S Watts “Quality education should have programs set up for Intensive Studies (IS) and English. Information Technology (IT) and the use of web 2.0 tools exist in every grade but we have nothing in place to aid our new students a smooth integration into a curriculum which expects a certain level of literacy”.Education In India: Education In India The education in India has improved a lot but still a large number of children are uneducated. The land of ‘The Vedas’ is one of the countries with the highest illiteracy levels. Yet Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan and NLM(National Literacy Mission) are existing. In 2001 the number of benefited children was 205 million.Goal of “Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan” for year 2011: Goal of “ Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan ” for year 2011 Open new schools in backward areas and expand existing school infrastructure. Increase the number of qualified teachers and provide training and development for existing teachers. Provide quality elementary education including life skills with the special focus on the education of girls and children with the special needs.Benefits of RTE act: Benefits of RTE act Because of RTE act people are now aware about the importance of education for there children. Number of school going children has increased. SC, ST And OBC’s children are getting financial help form the government. Scholarship is provided by the govt. to the poor students and brilliant students. Now there are schools like Pratibha Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas .Delusions of India’s Iconic Growth: Delusions of India’s Iconic Growth Iconic growth of India can not be the parameters of child education. A paradigm shift is required to improve the standards of education at primary and secondary level. India becoming a developed nation, we need to plan child education.
