Facts about Palm S unday This Sunday marks the beginning of the climax of the Christian year. Palm Sunday is also called Fig Sunday because figs were traditionally eaten on that day. Palm Sunday is the sixth Sunday of Lent before E aster.

Ash Wednesday Ash Wednesday is a Christian festival. it marks the beginning of six and a half weeks of repentance. Ash Wednesday is always six and a half week before Easter.

True Meaning Of Lent It is by means of them that the church prepares the faithful for the celebration of Easter, while they hear God’s word more frequently and devote more time to prayer. Lent is a special time of prayer, penance, sacrifice and good works in preparation of the celebration of Easter.

Facts about holy Saturday HERE ON EARTH, Jesus disciples mourned his death and, since it was a Sabbath day, they rested. Holy Saturday is the final day of holy week, the final day of traditional 40 day Lenten fast, and a part of the triduum , and commemorates Jesus lying in the tomb until his resurrection one Easter Sunday. Traditions- Blessing of Easter foods, Preparing for Easters, decorating easter eggs, and observing the Ora Della Madre. Symbols- Christ’s tomb, Mary waiting by CHRIST TOMB
